Video: Pacific storm triggers waterspout in Del Mar

SOLANA BEACH, Calif. – North County residents spotted a rare waterspout off the coast of Del Mar Wednesday morning.

Video posted online by Jeff Sybesma, a Solana Beach resident, shows the funnel-shaped cloud hovering over the ocean.

Sybesma told Fox5, he saw the waterspout at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday about 500 yards south of Dog Beach at Via De La Valle.

The second of back-to-back unstable weather systems hit San Diego County Wednesday morning. It brought snow to the mountains and big waves to the coast.
