The incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. Saturday when a 26-year-old man was driving a green Ford Expedition on the Qualcomm Way onramp to I-8, California Highway Patrol explained.

The collision occurred around 5:27 p.m. on Oceanside Blvd just west of Vine St, the Oceanside Police Department said in a news release.
