SAN DIEGO -- Two fires along Interstate 15 in the Miramar area prompted a lane closure Monday afternoon.
The fires were reported around 3:35 p.m. One fire burned less than one acre east of I-15, near state Route 52. A second fire burned three acres near I-15, north of Miramar Way, spreading to the property of Marine Corps Air Station Miramar before it was quickly extinguished.
The right lane on northbound I-15 north of state Route 52 and Miramar Way was temporarily blocked, Caltrans San Diego said.
No structures or injuries were reported, according to San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.
Investigators with SDFD's Metro Arson Strike Team were working to determine what caused the fires.
