SAN DIEGO, Calif.-- This years OMBAC Over the Line Tournament features one team of true heroes and their best known as the Louisville Slugger Warriors. All three players, Matt Kinsey, Carlo Adame, and Lonnie Gaudet, lost a limb during deployment with the US Army in either Iraq or Afghanistan, and through competition they continue to push the limits of their rehabilitation process. They also made history at Fiesta Island by becoming the first amputee team to enter the OTL World Championships.

"We really win the crowd over with respect coming out here," said Kinsey. " We have chosen to take that extra step and this gives us something to look forward to on the weekends"
"The main thing is that we can inspire people," said Adame. "Our injuries are basically nothing. You can overcome anything in your life."

Adame graduated from Rancho Bernardo High School, and as a 14-year-old he won the OTL Youth Division. He says he never imagined 26 years later he would return to Fiesta Island and compete once again.

"Kind of exciting to come back out here with my comrades and see what we can do," said Adame.
In order to prepare for the OTL tournament, the Louisville Slugger Warriors teamed up with two time OTL champions team TieWraps.com.
"It's a real honor to be a part of this," said Jeff Albritton from Team TieWraps.com. "These are people giving us an opportunity to come out here and play a silly little game. They have been in much more intense situations obviously. It's great to be a part of it and give back a little bit."
