Day 3: Friday, January 27

Today, we started our day in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico — a hot spot for those looking to relax and unwind. The city sits on top of a hot spring and specialty spas pump out mineral water so you can take a dip.

A quick trip up the road led us to the Elephant Butte reservoir and dam. Built from 1911 to 1916, the dam turned 100 years old in October and is still one of the largest in the country.

We then went to Roswell, where we visited a UFO museum. In 1947, what the military stated was a weather balloon crashed in Roswell, but there are still people who believe it was a UFO.
