SAN DIEGO- The South Korean little League World Series champions reacted to the news of the huge penalties levied against their former rivals, The Jackie Robison West team.
“It’s surprising, and it should never happen again,” said Youngkwan Han the chairman of Korean little league federation.
The Jackie Robinson West team was sanctioned for “knowingly” using players who didn’t live in their region.
The Former US little League Champs were stripped of their us title and forfeit their wins.
South Korea beat the Jackie Robinson team in the final, but chairman Han expressed frustration with the parents and the coaches that let the scandal materialize.
“It’s not the Players its the Adults, said Han.
That sentiment is echoed around the country.
The 12-year-old little leaguers played their hearts out and left it out on the field, and leave it to the people off the field to lose the game…
