SAN DIEGO -- The Seattle Seahawks selected San Diego State University's star running back Rashaad Penny in the first round of the NFL Draft.
Penny led the nation in running last season, though a lot of projections had him not getting drafted until the second round. But the Seahawks swooped in to take him with the 27th pick.
Penny watched the draft from his home in Norwalk, near Los Angeles, surrounded by family and friends.
He was the first SDSU player selected in the first round of the draft in 20 years.
