CARDIFF, Calif. – Two surfers from North County are one of the top tandem surfing duos in the world.

Ahlia Hoffman, a yoga instructor, and Travis Long, a board shaper and builder, made their way onto the same board less than 3 years ago and have been fine-tuning their surfing acrobatics ever since.

They went from rookies to one of the top four duos to earn a spot in the Tandem Surfing World Championships.

Hoffman and Long qualified as one of four duos from the mainland of the United States for the world championships.  They will head to Oahu, Hawaii in early December and represent San Diego in the championships.
