SAN DIEGO – A 25-year-old woman was sexually assaulted while sleeping in her Mission Hills home early Sunday morning, a police officer said.

The victim was asleep in her bedroom in the 1800 block of Hancock Street shortly after 3 a.m. when the suspect entered her residence and sexually assaulted her, Officer Robert Heims said.

When the victim awoke, the suspect ran out the front door, the same way he entered.

Police described the suspect as a Hispanic man in his 20s, about 5 feet 7 inches with a muscular build, wearing a blue polo shirt and gray or denim shorts.
