Water main break partially closes East Harbor Drive

SAN DIEGO — A water main break forced the closure of a stretch of East Harbor Drive in Barrio Logan Wednesday night.

The flooding on the street between Sampson Street and Cesar Chavez Parkway began shortly after 5:30 p.m., according to San Diego police.

Traffic lanes were expected to be blocked off and detours in place in the area for about four hours, San Diego Police Department Officer Rob Heims said.

No structural flooding was reported, Heims said.
