4 killed in plane crash near Corona airport

CORONA, Calif. — Four people were killed when a plane crashed in Corona near the Corona Municipal Airport Wednesday afternoon, authorities said.

The crash was reported around 12:11 p.m. The Corona Fire Department and Corona Police Department arrived at the site of the crash to find one plane had crashed in an area covered in brush east of the airport.

The plane was on fire at the time authorities arrived, police said.

Four people were killed in the crash, according to Corona police.

The fire that had spread to nearby brush was successfully extinguished around 1:30 p.m.
