SAN DIEGO — A bicyclist sustained serious injuries when he was hit by a car Wednesday afternoon in Linda Vista.
The incident occurred around 4:50 p.m. on Linda Vista Road near Ulric Street, according to San Diego police.
Vince Peppard Jr., 18, was transported to the Intensive Care Unit at Sharp Memorial Hospital. He was having seizures and was being treated for head injuries and a broken lower back, according to his father.
Peppard is in a lot of pain and will be wearing a back brace, but should be okay, his father told FOX 5.
The driver said she did not see Peppard riding his bike in the crosswalk, according to police. No charges have been filed, according to police.
The investigation is ongoing.
