SUDBURY, ONTARIO – Two Canadians rescued a bald eagle from a trap, but before setting it free they snapped a selfie.

According to Buzzfeed Canada, Michael Fletcher of Sudbury, Ontario, was hunting with his brother Neil when they saw a large bird stuck in a trap. They discovered it was a bald eagle.

The raptor was caught by the talon and was fairly calm by the time the brothers found it. They think it was tired from fighting the trap, FOX 2 reported.

Michael Fletcher took his coat off and approached the bird. He was able to wrap the bird before freeing it. Neil recorded the whole thing.

Fletcher and his brother took a selfie with the bird before they released it.
