CORONADO, Calif. — Tim McGraw rocked the beach in Coronado Wednesday night in what was supposed to be a secret performance.
The crews had been setting up the stage outside of Hotel del Coronado for days. It was a big mystery until word spread around 3:30 p.m.
“I was worried, I’m not going to lie,” said Zack McLeroy, CEO of Zaxby’s, the company behind the party.
Thousands showed up to see the country music star.
The Zaxby’s chicken restaurant party was private, but the concert was open to beach goers. Locals were thrilled with how close they were able to get to the band.
“Well you can’t beat the price of the ticket,” said Seth Coller. “I think I would have paid $700 or $800 if I was getting this close at Stage Coach and I don’t even have to wear shoes.”
The concert began at 8 p.m. and lasted 90 minutes.
