SAN DIEGO -- If you had a hard time posting or viewing content on Instagram and Facebook Sunday morning, you were not alone.
The website Down Detector tracks reports of issues with both social media sites and recorded a spike around 7 a.m. PT Sunday.
Facebook live videos weren't working for some users, while others couldn't log in at all. Posting content to Instagram was impossible for many people, while others reported videos continuously loading but never playing.
The companies, both owned by Facebook, Inc., did not officially comment on the outage, but most users had their issues resolved by about 11 a.m.
In the meantime, Twitter served its function as a place for people to vent about the other social media giants:

It looks like, at least for this brief moment, Facebook and Instagram are down. Everyone is walking outside and feeling the sun for the first time in ages. It's a miracle.
