SAN DIEGO — A collision at a Sorrento Valley intersection early Tuesday severely injured a 54-year-old man, but the pregnant woman driving the other car was not hurt.

A Toyota Sienna minivan was traveling westbound when it crashed with a southbound Hyundai sedan at the intersection of Mira Mesa Boulevard and Sorrento Valley Road around 2 a.m. The cause of the collision was not immediately known.

The man driving the Hyundai suffered a broken pelvis and internal injuries in the crash.

No other injuries were reported.
