VATICAN CITY — Pope Francis is quickly turning into an international folk hero, and now he’s being portrayed as a super hero in a piece of street art in Rome.

Pope Francis is seen by many as a friend of the common man, and he’s getting recognition from many sources. First Rolling Stone announced he will be the first pontiff to appear on the cover of the pop culture magazine.

Now graffiti on a small street in Rome depicts the leader of the Catholic Church as a super hero.

Snapshots of the wall art and people posing in front of it hit social media sites Wednesday.

The Vatican approved of the art, even tweeting a picture.
