SAN DIEGO — A man who was stabbed in the stomach during a fight in Pacific Beach attempted to flee on a bicycle but struck two police cruisers and another car, a police officer said Thursday.
The suspect stabbed the victim with a pocket knife during the altercation in the vicinity of Dawes Street and Garnet Avenue around 3:45 p.m. Wednesday, according to San Diego police Officer Dino Delimitros.
Arriving officers took the suspect into custody without incident, Delimitros said. His name was not immediately available.
Delimitros said the victim was uncooperative with officers and tried to ride away on his bicycle. However, he crashed the bike into two police cars and a civilian vehicle.
The victim’s wound was not considered life-threatening, Delimitros said.
