SAN DIEGO --  Some residents in Pacific Beach say they can't take it anymore.

They say short-term vacation rental homes are responsible for a lot more noise, rowdy behavior and trash in their Pacific Beach neighborhoods.

On Wednesday night, about 50 residents met at Crown Point Elementary to discuss their options.

"A lot of supporters of the short-term vacation rentals will tell you 'oh 'we can take care of the house, we can take care of the overcrowding, we can take care of parking' but they don't," said resident Cathie Jolley.

Jolley and others say they the problem would go away if the city enforced zoning laws that already prohibit vacation rentals and visitor accommodations in residential zones.
