IDYLLWILD, CALIF — A magnitude 3.7 earthquake was reported Monday afternoon two miles from Idyllwild, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 3:44 p.m. Pacific time at a depth of 11.8 miles.
According to the USGS, the epicenter was nine miles from Valle Vista and 13 miles from Hemet.
In the last 10 days, there has been one earthquake magnitude 3.0 or greater centered nearby.
Earlier Monday, an earthquake with a magnitude of 3.3 rocked the deserts of East County at 10:33 a.m. Monday.
The epicenter was 9 miles north of Borrego Springs, near the Riverside County line and about 18 miles south of La Quinta.
Sheriff’s dispatchers confirmed that there were no damage reports. The quake was felt as far away as Ramona by some people, according to the USGS.
