SAN DIEGO — A teenager was shot during a drive-by shooting in the Linda Vista neighborhood Thursday afternoon.
The shooting was reported shortly before 12:30 p.m. along the 6900 block of Linda Vista Road, not far from Montgomery Middle School.
San Diego police said they were on patrol in the area when they heard about six gunshots fired and saw a Hispanic male and Hispanic female running away. When officers caught up to them, they found the 18-year-old man suffering from a shot to the stomach.

The man was taken to a hospital for treatment of his injuries, which authorities said were not life-threatening.
According to Officer Tony Martinez, the victim was unwilling to share information about the shooting with police.
Authorities said witnesses described seeing five Hispanic men driving away from the scene in what was either a gray or light-colored vehicle.
