ENCINITAS, Calif (CNS) – Sheriff’s officials sought the public’s help to find three people suspected of stealing a wallet from a parked car, then using one of the victim’s credit cards at several businesses.
The wallet containing the credit card was swiped seven months ago in Cardiff-by-the-Sea, from a car parked in the 700 block of Knightsbridge Court, near Kings Cross Drive, sometime between the evening of Sept. 29 and the following morning, according to sheriff’s officials and San Diego County Crime Stoppers.
Two men and a woman allegedly used one of the victim’s credit cards at a Chevron gas station in Encinitas, an Exxon Mobil gas station and a CVS store in La Jolla and a Wal-Mart and an Adult Emporium in San Diego, authorities said.
The two men and woman were all described as white and between 25 and 30 years old.
One man was wearing a dark baseball cap, a black t-shirt and brown shorts. He was seen driving a dark gray, two-door hatchback and a red, two-door compact car.
The other man wore a black long-sleeved shirt, blue jeans and black shoes. He was seen driving a white SUV, possibly a Chevrolet Suburban.
The female suspect was wearing a green knit beanie, a green dress and had a purple purse. She was also seen driving the red two-door compact car the first male suspect was driving.
