SAN DIEGO – Walmart stores in San Diego will soon be getting a new shipment of the hottest toy of the holiday season.
Hatchimals are little furry interactive creatures living inside a large hard-shelled egg. Their coolest feature is they self-hatch, breaking through the shell after a little bit of coaxing and cajoling.
Hatchimals will be landing on shelves between December 8 and December 19, Walmart said. They are being sold for $48.88.
Each Walmart is scheduled to receive “dozens” per store, a spokesman said.
Walmart said the following locations will be restocking Hatchimals:
-1360 Eastlake Pkwy., Chula Vista
-605 Fletcher Pkwy., El Cajon
-75 Broadway, Chula Vista
-4840 Shawline St., San Diego
-13425 Community Rd., Poway
-3382 Murphy Canyon Rd., San Diego
-5500 Grossmont Center Dr., La Mesa
-1300 E. Grand Ave., Escondido
-170 Town Center Pkwy., Santee
Customers are encourage to call ahead to their local store to check when the Hatchimals are expected to arrive within that timeframe. The local shipments are part of larger national shipment that numbers in the tens of thousands, according to Walmart.
