SAN DIEGO — A San Diego man witnessed a total solar eclipse on March 8 from 35,000 feet and shared his incredible photos with FOX 5.

Scripps Ranch resident Evan Zucker was traveling from Anchorage to Honolulu on an Alaska Airlines flight that briefly changed its path to allow the 160 passengers on board to witness history.

He snapped more than 130 photos, which he put together to create a mesmerizing time-lapse video.

The next solar eclipse visible from the U.S. will be in August of 2017.
