SAN DIEGO — The three candidates running for San Diego County District 3 Supervisor took part in a debate Tuesday night staged at Petco’s corporate offices in Rancho Bernardo.
Incumbent Dave Roberts, Escondido Mayor Sam Abed and Encinitas Mayor Kristin Gaspar took turns answering questions ranging from small business protection and taxes to the $15 minimum wage.
One woman in the audience described what she wants in her county representative.
“Someone who is a real leader, really listens to what San Diego really needs…what we want and someone who has a proven record and good character,” said Amber Smith, County District 3 resident.
