The crew on Alaska Airlines Flight 769, which departed Boston Logan International Airport at 6:32 p.m. EST, asked the passenger to stop being disruptive. When the passenger made a threat, a decision was made to land at the nearest airport.
The plane arrived at Denver International Airport at 8:27 p.m. MST, according to Flightaware.com. Denver airport police were waiting at the gate to arrest the passenger.
After a delay of about 45 minutes, the plane was scheduled to arrive in San Diego at 10:22 p.m.
