SAN DIEGO – A  grocery store security guard was robbed at knife-point downtown, but the thief was arrested a short time later, San Diego police said.

The security guard was standing at the corner of G Street and First Avenue outside of Ralph’s where he works just after 3 a.m. when the robber walked up and demanded his wallet. The security guard was in uniform at the time of the robbery.

San Diego police caught up to the robber a few minutes later and arrested him, retrieving the guard’s wallet.

No one was hurt.
