SAN DIEGO — A power outage left 1,326 San Diego homes and businesses in the dark Monday.

A problem in the electrical system occurred shortly after 4:30 a.m. and knocked out power to utility customers in the Clairemont, Linda Vista and Mission Valley neighborhoods, according to San Diego Gas & Electric.

Service has since been restored to the affected communities, according to the utility company.
