SAN DIEGO – At a rally in San Diego, Donald Trump mentioned if his campaign doesn’t build a wall along the U.S. – Mexico border, he’ll enlist well-known businessman Douglas Manchester to build one.

“Oh, we’ll build it. If we don’t build it, we’ll get ‘Papa Doug’ to build it. He’ll get it up. You know who Papa Doug is. He’s your big guy in town. He’s great,” Trump said during the rally Friday.

Manchester, who was an early supporter of Trump’s presidential campaign, told FOX 5 he didn’t see that remark coming.

“He has no filter,” Manchester said. “It was an honor for him to mention me. He feel he’s a great friend and is what we need for our country.”

Manchester did not say whether he would help pay for a wall to be built.
