According to Google Trends, that was the most-searched for  “How did..?” question on Google Wednesday, the day after Donald Trump was elected the next president of the United States.

That question was followed by:

“How did this happen?”


“How did Clinton lose?”


“How did Michigan vote?”


“How did the polls get it so wrong?”

And, here are the top-searched “Why did…?” questions on Google today:

“Why did Hillary lose?”


“Why did Trump win?”


“Why did Hillary wear purple?”


“Why did people vote for Trump?”


“Why did Hillary concede?”
