CARLSBAD, Calif. — Carlsbad police Saturday held a public viewing of bicycles recovered after tracking accused drug dealers who led them to a home filled with dozens of them.

Several people were reunited with their bikes Saturday, but were surprised to see that some parts had been swapped out and many had been repainted. View photos of the recovered bikes

Police will keep the bikes for another two weeks before handing them over to an auction company.

Most of the 60 bikes on display Saturday were recovered from the same dealer’s home. Four men were arrested in connection to the bike thefts and booked at Vista jail.

Police said to protect your bike, register it at a local fire station, take photos of it and write down the serial number. Be sure to lock bikes while out and about in the community.
