SAN DIEGO – Lincoln High and Kennedy Elementary schools in the Lincoln Park neighborhood were briefly locked down Tuesday morning.

San Diego police looked into an apparently unfounded report that a possibly armed person was nearby.

Someone called police shortly before 10 a.m. to report a person who was possibly armed with a gun in a parking lot in the 4700 block of T Street.

Campus and city police officers searched the area, and the lockdowns were lifted about 20 minutes later, says San Diego police Officer Humberto Hernandez.
