SAN DIEGO — Two men were stabbed in a fight outside a Barrio Logan bar Wednesday night, and the person responsible for the attack was able to escape.
A fight broke out at Mariscos El Pulpo Bar and Restaurant, a couple blocks away from Chicano Park on Main Street, just before 11 p.m.
Two groups involved in the argument were kicked out of the bar, but the fight continued outside, police said. That’s where two men, 25 and 36 years old, were stabbed in the upper body. Both victims were expected to survive their stab wounds.
Police arrived to break up the fight and paramedics took the men to the hospital, but officers weren’t able to find the person responsible for the attack.
Gang detectives were handling the investigation after bystanders said the groups were both flashing signs, San Diego Police Officer Tony Martinez said.
Police didn’t have a detailed description of the attacker, but they were on the lookout for a gold-colored van that may have helped them escape.
