SAN DIEGO – The search for a shooting suspect was underway Tuesday night after windows of a Mission Beach business were shattered, police said.

San Diego police were investigating a shooting at Pilar Beachwear on Mission Boulevard near San Jose Place after receiving calls at 8:50 p.m. that someone fired a weapon several times.

Investigators said a dark Dodge Magnum with tinted windows drove north on Mission Boulevard following the incident.  Police did not find shell casings, but found several pellets, possibly from a BB gun, inside the damaged swimsuit store.

No one was injured.

The motive of the shooting and the cost of the damages were unknown.
