Outage leaves 1,700 without power

SAN DIEGO — More than 1,700 people in several San Diego communities were without power Tuesday night, according to San Diego Gas & Electric.

The outage, reported around 7:30 p.m., affected residents and businesses Old Town, Mission Hills and Hillcrest.

Power was expected to be restored by 11:30 p.m., according to SDG&E. By 11:15 p.m., the outage had been cleared from the utility’s outage map.
