SAN DIEGO — No one was hurt when a biplane veered off the runway and tipped onto its nose at Brown Field in Otay Mesa Tuesday.
The minor crash left the single-engine, bright yellow Stearman biplane tipped onto its nose, but both people aboard the aircraft were able to climb down unhurt, San Diego Fire Department Chief Colin Stowell said. The FAA was notified of the incident, which is standard procedure.
