LOS ANGELES – Former first lady Nancy Reagan’s funeral will be held Friday, according to Melissa Giller, spokeswoman for the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library.

Reagan will lay in repose Wednesday and Thursday before being buried Friday at 11 a.m. PST at the Reagan Library in Simi Valley, California, next to her husband, Ronald Reagan.

Reagan died Sunday in her home in Los Angeles of congestive heart failure at age 94.

Revered in Republican politics, Reagan was known as a fierce protector of her husband, both personally and politically. She also launched the “Just say no” anti-drugs campaign and advocated for stem-cell research later in life.
