Weaving car hits motorcyclist on freeway, speeds off

SAN DIEGO – A motorcyclist was recovering Tuesday morning after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in City Heights, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A grey Mazda was heading south on Interstate 15 at University Avenue when it slammed into the motorcycle at 11 p.m. Monday.  The car was seen swerving through lanes on I-15 just before the crash.

The driver of the Mazda kept going after the collision. No good description of the driver was available.

A witness pulled over and called for help following the crash. The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital with minor injuries and was expected to be okay.

Anyone with information is asked to call the CHP.
