SAN DIEGO – A 21-year-old motorcyclist was killed Sunday when he veered into oncoming traffic on a Pt. Loma street, police said.
The crash happened at 8:14 p.m. on Rosecrans Street near Owen Street, San Diego Police Officer Robert Heims said.
The unidentified motorcyclist was heading northbound on the one lane street and was weaving in and out of the southbound lane to pass vehicles, Heims said.
At one point, he didn’t move back to his lane in time and crashed head- on with a Chrysler Pacific, the officer said.
The man died at the scene, Heims said.
The driver of the Pacific remained at the scene and drugs or alcohol were not believed to be involved.
