SAN DIEGO - Military moms were honored this Mother's Day with a complementary brunch from the Sheraton Carlsbad.

Families often sacrifice along with the military men and women on deployment. Many birthdays, holidays and soccer games are missed as a whole family.

“We do miss a lot of birthdays, a lot of holidays that we would love to spend with our husbands. But we know that we have a mission here at home,” said Sebrina King, Camp Pendleton’s Family Readiness Officer.

The Sheraton has been supporting the mission by hosting the special Mother's Day brunch for the past eight years.

“I didn't have to cook this morning,” said an excited military mom Jen Dougherty.

“These military families already do so much, so it’s a great pleasure for us to host mom,” said Sheraton Carlsbad marketing manager Tina Hingle.
