SAN DIEGO – A 44-year-old man was stabbed to death Sunday near a home in San Diego.

One of the men fled in a vehicle and a witness found the victim lying on the ground, called police and began CPR, Grubbs said.
Officers dispatched at 12:28 a.m. to 1037 Evelyn St. on a report of a stabbing found a witness performing CPR on the 44-year-old man, who was suffering from stab wounds to his torso, he said.
The victim, a resident of Lemon Grove, was pronounced dead at the scene.
