Man dies after being shot in Poway apartment

POWAY, Calif. —  San Diego Sheriff’s homicide detectives were at a Poway apartment complex Saturday after a man died from a gunshot wound.

The victim has been identified by police as 38-year-old Michael Walker.

“Deputies received a call from Palomar Hospital in Poway about a man who had a gunshot wound,” San Diego Sheriff’s Homicide Lt. Chad Boudreau said. “Shortly after he died, and this led us back to his apartment here in Poway.”

Deputies went to Walker’s Sofi Poway apartment complex on Midland Road near Poway Road. Once there, deputies detained three men for questioning at the victim’s apartment.

Police arrested 20-year-old Manuula Save for murder, Boudreau said.

The Sheriff’s Homicide Unit said the investigation was ongoing.
