SANTEE, Calif. — A woman leaving a Santee bar was pushed to the ground by a man who tried to remove some of her clothing, the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department reported Monday.

The woman left the Second Wind around 12:45 a.m. Sunday and was walking in an area around Graves Avenue, between Prospect Avenue and Pepper Drive, when the unidentified attacker knocked her down and tried to strip clothing from her lower body, Sgt. D. Miles Ting said.

The woman was able to kick her assailant and drive him off, Ting said.

The sergeant said she described her attacker as white, in his 20s, with light-colored short hair. He didn’t say a word during the attack, she said.

Anyone with information was asked to call the Sheriff’s Sexual Assault Unit at 858-974-2316.
