SAN DIEGO — A water main break in the Midway District flooded a street and caused a sinkhole to form Friday morning, San Diego police said.
A six-inch diameter water main in the 3900 block of Jupiter Street broke shortly before 6:30 a.m.
Police have closed Channel Way and Jupiter Street to traffic.
Twelve customers were without water service, a city spokesperson told FOX 5. Repairs were expected to be completed by 3 p.m.
