SAN DIEGO — Naval Criminal Investigative Service is seeking witnesses of a hit-and-run that killed a service member earlier this month.

Around 4:30 a.m. on May 2, investigators believe a non-commercial vehicle was driving northbound near the pedestrian bridge, just south of the main gate near East Harbor Drive and 32nd Street, when it fatally hit the service member.

The vehicle may have sustained front-end damage.

Witnesses were asked to call 877-579-3648.
