EL CAJON, Calif. — Deputies searched a neighborhood in El Cajon Friday for a stabbing suspect who authorities said was riding a skateboard and wielding a sword.

The search was centered on East Bradley Avenue near state Route 67, in the city’s Bostonia neighborhood. The man is accused of slashing another man in the hand with the sword during an argument, a sheriff’s lieutenant says. The victim was treated for apparently minor injuries.

A sheriff’s department helicopter circled the area and deputies searched by foot, but eventually the manhunt was called off because investigators had the man’s name and was known to the victim, officials told FOX 5.

The suspect was identified as Jason Hunt, who deputies said is in his mid-30s. The department’s Lakeside office was heading up the investigation, but no further information about an arrest was immediately shared.
