SAN DIEGO – Comedians across San Diego came together to reflect on the legacy of Joan Rivers Thursday.
Comedienne Nikki Glaser, who is performing this weekend at the American Comedy Company, said even though Rivers died at the age of 81, her death came too soon.
“I just thought she’d be around forever,” said Glaser.
Glaser said as a woman working in stand-up, Rivers made a big impact on her career.
“She made it look glamorous.”
One of the last times the sharp-tongue lady of comedy was seen in San Diego was at Harrah’s Casino in April.
“She knew how to push buttons and just hammer that in,” said Russell Brock of The Comedy Store in La Jolla.
