FRESNO, Calif. – Over 900 birds were killed after an intruder hit them with a golf club at a Foster Farms chicken shed in Fresno County a couple weeks ago, officials said Tuesday.
Fresno Sheriff’s Department deputies investigated the chicken deaths after an intruder gained access to the facility in Caruthers, Calif. on September 20.
Deputies said 920 chickens were killed with a golf club “and possibly another similar type instrument” after a piece of golf club was found at the scene, Los Angeles Times reported.
Foster Farms is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and prosecution of the killer.
