Bar manager killed in Gaslamp Quarter

SAN DIEGO -- Homicide detectives were in the Gaslamp Quarter early Monday where they found a bar manager with fatal gunshot wounds.

San Diego Police Department went to the intersection of 5th Avenue and Market Street where the victim was found around 2 a.m.

The 33-year-old victim was in an argument with other men when the shooting happened, SDPD Lt. Matt Dobbs said. The two men took a taxi to Imperial Avenue and were arrested by police.

A friend of the victim told FOX 5 the deceased man named "Joey" was a manager at Myst Lounge and was a father of a young child.

Homicide investigators have not yet released any further details.
