CHULA VISTA, Calif. — Authorities at Southwestern College have taped off a building as a precaution after a student reported feeling ill Thursday.

UPDATE: Southwestern College student recants Ebola story

Seven students have been quarantined in Building 400 after a female student told a teacher that she had been on an airline flight with the Texas nurse who was later diagnosed with Ebola, a teacher told Fox 5 News. The teacher became concerned and contacted campus administrators. Campus police then cordoned off the building and told the students who were in the classroom to leave and go to a central coutyard. They were not being allowed to leave the building, the teacher said.

Campus officials said information that the ill student had been exposed to Ebola on a commercial plane flight have not been confirmed.
